Coda Maille Tutorial

I used Sterling silver rings for this weave. If you want to use rings of a different material, pay close attention to the AR of the rings.

20g 3/16

20g 3/32

18g 3/16

Step 1:

Take one 18g 3/16 ring and attach 2 3/32 rings to it. Add another set of 3/32 rings to the first set. Add one 3/32 ring in that second set. Now add another two sets of 3/32 rings and attach a second 3/16 rings to that. This gives you a chain of 1-2-2-1-2-2-1.

Step 2:

Now take a thin 20g 3/16 ring and go through the two rings that attach to the first large ring between the second set of small rings.

Step 2a:

This is the reverse side of the last step.

Step 3:

Go around the other end in the same manner.

Step 4:

This makes the filled ring you can see in the picture. I have named this weave Coda.
